Variety Playhouse, Atlanta

On Friday, Steve and I decided to skip the usual after Thanksgiving Day shopping and get out to some live music. We met up with friends at Variety Playhouse (in the Little Five Points section of Atlanta) for The Grapes reunion show. The line-up was great: Deep Blue Sun, Colonel Bruce Hampton, and The Grapes. These great bands treated us to their own special mix of rock, blues and jazz. The place was packed and it definitely felt like a family reunion! If you get the chance, be sure to get out and see any or all of these bands!
Variety Playhouse is my favorite place to see live music in Atlanta. There is plenty of seating and lots of room up front to watch the band or dance the night away! Get there when you can!
