Go Girls Music – Atlanta Chapter – Karvana’s – 1/21/2009

The Go Girls Music meeting last night was a hit.  As usual, they had a presentation and then some very fine music.  Awesome talent.  It was a packed house.

Great job of pulling this together Anne-Marie Perry…

Hair Spray in Chattanooga!

On January 31, Steve and I are joining up with some friends to see the musical Hair Spray at the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Auditorium in Chattanoga. I expect we will see lots of big hair, because the story is set in the 60’s. It will be fun, and I hope you have a chance to see it any where!

Back to the Classics…Chattanooga Symphony & Opera

Joann Falletta was the Guest Conductor for Italian Idyll at the Chattanoog Symphony & Opera performance on Friday evening. She led the orchestra in a varied and lively evening of music ending with a wonderful rendition of Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 in A Major, Op. 90. I’m never disappointed in the Symphony’s performances. It’s the ultimate surround sound!

I hope you can make it on February 5th or 6th for 200th Birthday of Abraham Lincoln. Robert Bernhardt will be back as the Conductor; pianist Ning An is the Guest Artist.
